Lukaku Linked to Possible EPL Return

There are rumours floating around that Romelu Lukaku might return to the English Premier League (EPL) if the offer from Chelsea FC proves to be true.

The 27-year-old Inter Milan striker has netted 61 goals from 87 games during his two years at the club, surpassing all expectations – despite major heckling – when he moved from Manchester United to the Serie A giants for €80 million in 2019.

His stellar form has drawn attention from across Europe, especially after he helped his team win 2-1 over Sassuolo on Wednesday, 7 April, sending them to the top of the Serie A table.

Now, the latest reports say that Chelsea are willing to pay £86 million for Lukaku’s signature as they hunt for a top-flight forward in the upcoming transfer window for the 2020/21 EPL season.

Manchester City and Real Madrid have also shown interest in the Belgian player and his goal-scoring abilities.

However, Lukaku seems happy at Inter, and time will tell which club gets to claim him for the next season.
